M Sivanesan’s works are a reflection of his personal moods, rather than an attempt at making a profound statement. Fascinated with the human subject, Sivanesan works mainly with figurative compositions. He does not use his paintings to make statements. He feels that an attempt to make a statement restricts him in many ways. His paintings are reflections of his personal mood at various points of time. 'People' are his favourite subjects. He is appreciative of the beauty that he sees in people. The human face and figure are of special interest to him. He has three sudios - in New Delhi, Mumbai and Madras.
