Saroj Pal Gogi is a leading Feminist artist who questions the conventional out look of the society about women. Being nude, hybrid forms or adorned in flowers all over. Gogi’s subjects do not denote a particular model but address the elephant in the room collectively. Continuing her series of works for decades, she has been as active as a nature’s weather, one goes another comes but sustains the essence and imprints the affects. Gogi Saroj Pal studied at the College of Art in Banasthali, Rajasthan from 1961-1962 and then studied at the Government College of Arts and Crafts in Lucknow for a full 5-year graduate course. She also did a full graduate course of art in the College of Art in Delhi in 1968. Gogi Saroj Pal, an artist comfortable working with such diverse mediums as installation, painting, sculpture, graphic print, ceramics, jewellery, weaving and photography.
