Saroj Pal Gogi is a leading Feminist artist who questions the conventional out look of the society about women. Being nude, hybrid forms or adorned in flowers all over. Gogi’s subjects do not denote a particular model but address the elephant in the room collectively. Continuing her series of works for decades, she has been as active as a nature’s weather, one goes another comes but sustains the essence and imprints the affects. Gogi Saroj Pal studied at the College of Art in Banasthali, Rajasthan from 1961-1962 and then studied at the Government College of Arts and Crafts in Lucknow for a full 5-year graduate course. She also did a full graduate course of art in the College of Art in Delhi in 1968.
